My name is Monica, and I am so happy to be working at the PRFC this summer. Many years ago I became part of a group seeking to improve the lives of people in our community. The food center is the result of the hard work and dedication of that group. Over the years my own involvement waned as I pursued career and educational goals, but I was so happy to have a chance to jump back into the work. Every week I enjoy my small role of helping homebound seniors order their fresh vegetables through the farmshare program. As the owner of a small farm myself, I know how important it is to connect the community with their local farms. I often have a 'helper' in the form of Spade. Spade is a big goat who hangs out by my home office window, providing encouragement and begging for snacks.
