Versant Power Supports Community Safety with Donation for Food Center Defibrillator

Dover Foxcroft, ME – May 10, 2024 – Piscataquis Regional Food Center is proud to announce a generous donation from Versant Power that will enhance safety measures at the Food Center by donating funds for the purchase of a defibrillator. This life-saving device will be a crucial addition to the center, ensuring the well-being of volunteers and shoppers alike.

The Food Center is a vital hub within our community, providing essential resources and support to those in need. Recognizing the importance of safeguarding the health and safety of all individuals who pass through its doors, Versant Power graciously stepped forward to provide assistance in acquiring this critical equipment.

In emergencies such as cardiac arrest, a defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death. With the installation of this device at the Food Center, trained personnel will be equipped to respond swiftly and effectively to any unforeseen medical emergencies, offering immediate assistance until professional medical help arrives.

“Safety is our top priority at Versant Power, and we’re happy to be able to make the Piscataquis Regional Food Center a safer place to pick up food, volunteer, and gather,” said Versant Power President John Flynn.

"We are immensely grateful to Versant Power for their generous donation enabling the purchase of a defibrillator for the Food Center," said Kelly Sirimoglu, Executive Director of the Food Center. "This gift enables us to better protect the health and safety of our volunteers and patrons, ensuring that we can continue to serve our community with confidence and care."
