Add shopping bags to your grocery list! Piscataquis Regional Food Center has been selected by local Shaw's store leadership as the beneficiary of the Give Back Where It Counts Bag Program for December 2021. Each reusable bag purchased at the Dover-Foxcroft Shaw's will equal a $1 donation to PRFC.
According to the event description: "This program is designed to make it easy for shoppers to give back to their local communities while supporting the environment. Each time a shopper purchases the $2.50 GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag at your selected Shaw's location your non-profit will receive a $1 donation."
"It's always great to be recognized by local business leaders," said PRFC Executive Director Erin Callaway. "It's heartwarming that Shaw's thought of us for this program."
As you know, We Get Food Moving at PRFC...and we go through a lot of bags! We use shopping bags to break down literal tons of food for distribution to individuals. If you would like to support us through the Give Back Where It Counts Bag Program, but don't need another reusable bag, we would love to have the bag donated to us, too!
