Hey Everyone!
My name is Evelyn but I mostly go by Evie. I’m the new summer VISTA at the PRFC, working as a graphic design & marketing associate. As a recent graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design & Digital Media, I am very excited to work alongside TMak, and assist in curating a clean and professional new look for PR Food Center. That means establishing a style guide for marketing materials, streamlining the website for user experience, and creating cohesive graphics; all for the sake of brand consistency, so that you and everyone else can easily identify the Piscataquis Regional Food Center!
As I said before, I’ve just recently graduated, having earned a BFA from Champlain College in Burlington, VT. I chose to major in Graphic Design in a bid to ‘modernize’ my passion as a fine artist, taking art and composition to the computer. You can check out some of my projects in my portfolio.
During my time at school, I had some wonderful opportunities, including a week long, class trip exploring parts of Spain and Portugal, as well as a semester abroad spent in New Zealand. Anybody out there gone bungee jumping yet? Because I have, for the ‘cultural experience’ of course. I’ve also had some opportunities to traipse around New York City and Montreal, finding inspiration amongst some phenomenal street artists. Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll be shaking the travel bug anytime soon.
For now though, I’m looking forward to the rest of my stint as a VISTA with the PRFC, and all the fun projects I’ll have! I’m so grateful to know that my design skills can help promote and broadcast our mission, and be a part of a good cause.
