Help from our Garden Coaches

Mobility, small space or lack of resources shouldn't stop someone from learning how to grow their own food. Our goal is to set Gardeners up for success and generate enthusiasm for growing veggies year after year.

Garden in a Box Learning Series Includes:

  • A complete growing experience, including learning materials, gardening tools and guidance from March to October

  • Personalized assistance from a Garden Coach including phone support and home visits

  • Garden in a Box Resource Binder with Cooperative Extension gardening publications, tips, a monthly calendar and journal to keep track of your container garden

  • Trowel

  • Watering Can

  • 15 gal cloth container

  • Fort Vee Vermont Compost potting soil and locally sourced seedlings

The 2021 Garden in a Box class is full but we encourage you to sign up for the full Garden in a Box project in 2022. We limit enrollment for each season to (16) ensuring each Gardener gets a quality experience with their Garden Coach.

The Garden in a Box Resource Binder is still available digitally. You can also contact us for your very own hard copy!
