Learn how to plan your day in the garden, proper stretching and lifting techniques, selecting ergonomic tools, adapting existing tools to improve their ergonomics, designing your garden to match your abilities and much more! Adapted from Episode #9 of Victory Garden for ME.

Are you short on space? Many kinds of vegetables can be easily grown in containers by following a few basic guidelines. What to grow and what can you grow it in will be the topic of conversation.

What's Wrong with my Vegetable Plant?

May 25, 2022, 6 pm at Thompson Free Library, Dover-Foxcroft

This demonstration will offer an overview of cultural practices to prevent disease in your garden, how to diagnose a disease problem, common vegetable plant diseases, how to submit your plant to the diagnostic lab, and much more!

The Limited Enrollment Garden in a Box Program Includes:

  • A complete growing experience, including learning materials, gardening tools and guidance from March to October

  • Personalized assistance from a Garden Coach including phone support and home visits

  • Garden in a Box Resource Binder with Cooperative Extension gardening publications, tips, a monthly calendar and journal to keep track of your container garden

  • Trowel

  • Watering Can

  • 15 gal cloth container

  • Fort Vee Vermont Compost potting soil and locally sourced seedlings

We limit enrollment for each season, ensuring each Gardener gets a quality experience with their Garden Coach. Our 2022 enrollment is FULL!
