Mr. Murray from my school and his class are going to be special guest stars on my blog. His class works with this other school in town and they do lots of fun things and wanted to share them with everyone. They do a lot with food and other nature stuff. --Cece
Trisha Smith, from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Office, brought in a worm bin for us to take care of for the school year. It is filled with damp shredded papers and, naturally, worms.
We had to feed the worms the other day, so we took a banana peel and had it chopped up. Then we lifted the covers from the bin and placed the banana peel segments in a section of the bin for them to partake.
We're hoping to grow the worms into a thriving group by the end of the year.
