The other day at school, Miss Trisha from the Cooperative Extension office brought a whole bunch of pumpkin to my school. My 2nd grade class got to make pumpkin seed snacks! They tasted like popcorn. Then we got to watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving! This is how we made them.
First, get a pumpkin. Then slice it in half. Put gloves on cuz it gets messy. Take allll the goop out of the pumpkin. Put the seeds on a pan and clean off all the goopy stuff. Sprinkle oil on them and put them in the oven for 15 minutes. They are so yummy!
After we went back to class, Miss Trisha and Miss Theresa from the Food Center got the left over pumpkin ready for handing out at the food cupboard that day! That is good because it helps people and the food didn’t get thrown away!
Have a good day! See you next week!
